1. Important: Not Investment Advice

Stockport’s articles and frameworks describe general investing principles and discipline practices. They do not constitute personalised advice for your specific financial situation.

2. Who we are

Stockport (stockport.app and the app at app.stockport.app) is run by Vikas Chandrawat, an individual based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. He decides how your personal data is used and is responsible for it. Contact: vikas@stockport.app. Our Terms and Conditions are on their own page.

3. Signing in with Google

You sign in to Stockport with your Google account. When you do, Google shares three things with us: your name, your email address and a link to your profile picture. We ask for nothing else: we cannot see your Gmail, Drive, contacts, calendar or any other Google data.

• How we use it: to create your account and sign you in, to show your name in the app, to link your plan and payments to you, and to email you about your account.
• Where it is stored: with your account in our database (Supabase, Mumbai region).
• Who else receives it: only the processors in section 7 that need it to run Stockport — our product analytics (PostHog) and our email provider (Brevo) receive your name and email. We never sell it, never use it for advertising, and never use it to train AI models.

Stockport’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy. You can remove Stockport’s access at any time from your Google Account’s security settings.

4. Data We Collect

Market data (stock prices, results dates) is fetched from third-party market data sources. Fetching it sends none of your personal data.

5. What we never collect

• Card numbers, UPI PINs, CVVs or bank passwords. Razorpay collects and handles your payment details on its own checkout; we only receive the result.
• Your broker login or any access to your broker account. Trades reach us only when you enter or import them.
• Advertising IDs, device fingerprints or cross-site tracking.

6. How we use your data

• To run Stockport for you: sign you in, save what you write, show it back to you on every device, and calculate your performance.
• To suggest claims: when you submit a thesis or note for claims, its text is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) and the suggested claims come back to you. Under Anthropic’s commercial terms, this text is not used to train its models.
• To take payments and give you the plan you paid for.
• To email you about your account, your plan, and — where you have them — coach emails about your stocks (for example, a company’s results date). Razorpay sends its own payment receipt. To stop non-essential emails, write to us.
• To answer your support requests, fix bugs and improve Stockport.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use it for advertising.

7. Third-Party Data Processors

We use these services to run Stockport. Each receives only what it needs for its job.

Some of these processors are outside India. By using Stockport you consent to your data being processed in these locations for the purposes above.

8. Cookies and local storage

The app keeps your sign-in session and a working copy of your data in your browser’s local storage so it can load quickly and keep unsaved changes safe. PostHog sets a first-party cookie to count visits and link your usage to your account. We use no advertising cookies and no tracking pixels.

9. Retention and deletion

We keep your account and everything in it for as long as your account exists, so your journal is there when you come back. To have your account deleted, email vikas@stockport.app from the address you sign in with; we delete it and everything stored with it, including your plan and payment records, within 30 days. Razorpay keeps its own record of payments, as the law requires of it. Form emails are kept until you ask us to delete them.

10. Security

Data travels over HTTPS. Each account’s data in our database is protected by access rules so that no other user can read it. Payment details never reach our servers. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach that affects your data, we will tell you.

11. Your Rights

To exercise any of these rights, including getting a copy of your data, email vikas@stockport.app. We respond within 30 days.

12. Children

Stockport is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you believe a child has created an account, write to us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. If a change affects how we use your data, we will tell you in the app or by email.
